“Our mission is to share the importance of Traditional Chinese Medicine with everyone, by providing In-depth in-class and practical education with an unyielding support for our students.” -Dr. Frank Du President
Dr. Frank Du earned his Bachelor of Medicine specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from The Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1988, and from there continued on to obtain his Masters of Science from RMIT University in Australia in 1999. Upon Dr.Du’s arrival in Canada and eventual settling in Calgary, Dr.Du felt that the TCM community’s presence and education available could be greatly improved. With the hopes of expanding the understanding and usefulness of TCM to Calgarians, Dr.Du founded The Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in 2003.
Since our establishment, our President, Dr.Du, has followed his original vision by using his personal TCM education, and 24 years of teaching experience to curate CCTCMA’s curriculum, academic activities, as well as recruiting some of the brightest minds in Canada’s TCM community. TCM is a unique and comprehensive health care profession; which includes acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Chinese massage, Qigong, and food therapy. Its immense practical value has been recognized in China and worldwide. Our college offers top-quality authentic education in TCM and acupuncture; to prepare students for TCM and acupuncture licensing examinations around the world. It is our aim to pass the knowledge and skills of TCM and acupuncture to our students so they can practice successfully in the future -anywhere in the world.
CCTCMA is committed to providing an excellent education in TCM and Acupuncture as Dr.Du was when he first established CCTCMA. Through the implementation of in-depth in-class acupuncture courses and hands-on acupuncture training, our Acupuncture Diploma program provides students with a high quality education, and the tools for all of our graduates to become confident and competent acupuncturists and Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine as they practice in Canada and internationally as a result of their time with us.
CCTCMA offers the following programs:
- Acupuncture Diploma program
- Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor Diploma program
